|Please help me support the Arthritis Foundation!|
|In 2015 my friend Ginger convinced me to join her on the California Coast Classic, a cycling adventure that took us 525 miles along the coast of California from San Francisco to Los Angeles. I agreed to raise funds for the Arthritis Foundation because I was really eager to have a chance to ride down the Pacific Coast Highway and enjoy the breathtaking views.|
Now, I'm back to do it again, but for a very different reason. Along the ride in 2015 I met many different people who suffer from arthritis. These people are silent heroes to me. They might be in constant pain, yet they are out there riding, or volunteering to be sure we have a great ride. There were also several children afflicted with arthritis who stole my heart - Carter (age 6) and Lily (age 9) are two of them!
This year I am riding for Team Carter to support Carter and all the other young people who don't know what it's like to live a life without Arthritis, and no, it is not something they will outgrow!
Won't you please consider donating to my fundraising efforts and help those living with arthritis?
As the nationís leading cause of disability, arthritis causes unacceptable pain and robs one in every five adults and 300,000 children of living life to its fullest. The Arthritis Foundation (www.arthritis.org) leads the way in helping people with arthritis live better today and create better tomorrows through new treatments, better access and, ultimately, cures.
We do this by:
Funding life-changing research that has restored mobility in patients for more than six decades
Fighting for health care policies that improve the lives of the millions of Americans with arthritis
Partnering with families to provide empowering programs and information
As the nationís largest private funder of research, public health programs and advocacy on behalf of the 50 million Americans with this painful disease, the Arthritis Foundation aims to reduce the number of people suffering from arthritis-related physical activity limitations by 20 percent by 2030.
